What can one small company do to help meet the needs of those less fortunate?
In December 2007, we found out first hand.
In lieu of holiday gifts, to honor of our clients, Asen Marketing made
donations of time and money to Mission Of Hope.
It’s the gift of Hope, and it’s something I hope you will think about giving this holiday season.
Please consider a donation of gifts or time to
this wonderful cause.
Mission of Hope serves people throughout poverty stricken rural areas of Appalachia in Southeast Kentucky and Northeast Tennessee. You may be familiar with some of its ministries, but it’s important to note that Mission of Hope is more than just toys, clothes, food and gifts at Christmas or Back To School supplies in the fall. It’s about sharing Hope throughout the year.
This year, for their 13th Annual Christmas Program, Mission of Hope will assist more than 16,000 children and their families. The 2008 Christmas Campaign Blue Barrel Collections begin on Friday, November 21 and continue through Monday, December 8.
Most of us are blessed with warm homes, warm clothes, plenty of food, and employment to provide for our needs. There are thousands of people living just a short drive from Knoxville that are struggling to provide even the basic necessities. Most of these people want to work and provide for their families. However, this is an area of extreme poverty with few available jobs and many needs.
Your involvement and support will be greatly appreciated.
Volunteers are needed in the following tasks:
- Phone Desk
- Barrel Pick Up
- Sorting & Packing
- Warehouse Workers
- Pick Up Drivers
- Hospitality Desk
- Administrative Helpers
- Truck Loaders
Thank you for your compassionate support of this humble Appalachian Relief Ministry as we continue to share our love, concern and Hope for these very proud and deserving families.
